Crossover vehicles have taken the industry by storm, especially in the past few years. These vehicles provide plenty of cargo space, offer plenty of comfort and are highly advanced. On the other hand, sedans are still a staple in society, and you’ll definitely notice some form of sedan every time you enter the roadways. The 2019 Kia Soul and the 2019 Nissan Sentra are battling it out, but only one will come out on top. Each one of these vehicles have features that most car enthusiasts are seeking so let’s see what each brand has to offer.
The 2019 Kia Soul is no stranger to advanced technologies. This crossover SUV was designed with advancements in mind. The Kia Soul has a Harman Kardon audio system that creates an extraordinary listening experience. Apple CarPlay has been implemented, which will allow the occupants to easily connect to Soul’s advanced system. Siri technology allows for voice command, which works great while driving. The built-in, touchscreen display produces vivid colors, and this is where you can find the majority of your apps. Android Auto is also built-in as the driver can send and receive messages via voice command. The rearview camera allows for safety when backing up, and the navigation system displays up-to-date information.
The 2019 Nissan Sentra is very advanced when it comes technology. This vehicle comes equipped with a Bose audio system that will create an immersive listening experience. This audio system comes with eight speakers and two subwoofers for loud, thumping sound. The 2019 Sentra hosts a 7-inch touchscreen display that’s loaded with a plethora of Google apps. This display is very intuitive, and Apple CarPlay is built-in. If you want to charge your phone or use an MP3 player, then this vehicle has multiple USB ports for doing so. In addition to that, the occupants of this sedan can take full-advantage of the available Bluetooth technology.
The 2019 Kia Soul looks quite different from anything else that’s on the road. Its square shape doesn’t scream aggressiveness, but it definitely serves its purpose. Though this vehicle comes in a variety of exterior colors, consumers can opt for a distinctive color scheme that’s two-toned. This means that the body of the vehicle can come in one color while the roof can come in a different color. Soul’s front fascia is very contemporary, but the vehicle’s top features could be the LED and HID lights. Its front and rear bumper inserts are body colored, which produces a clean finish, and there’s a panoramic sunroof.
The 2019 Sentra is sleek, stylish and sexy from all angles. This sedan comes in multiple trims, including the S, SV, SR and SR Turbo. The sculpted hood displays an aggressive look, but the rear of the vehicle looks a bit bland. This is Nissan’s entry level sedan, but it serves its purpose very well. Other than the front fascia area of this sedan, this exterior could use some more accents.
Cost To Own
Well, both vehicles are reasonably priced in their respective markets, but the 2019 Kia Soul is a great buy. This vehicle starts with an MSRP of $16,490 while the 2019 Nissan Sentra starts at $17,790. Kia offers a bit more add-on options than Nissan, and the Soul comes with four different wheel sizes. Nissan’s 1.8-liter DOHC engine provides better performance and handling, but the 2019 Soul wins every other category for ownership.
